Japanese chef Yoshinori Ishii of restaurant Umu (the first Japanese restaurant in Europe to win two Michelin stars), whose dedication and compassion revolutionized the art of fishing in the United Kingdom. He is now Executive Chef Producer at Auberge Tokito in Tokyo. "Tanagokoro" screens as part of the special program "A Masterclass of Japanese Cuisine and Culture with Two Michelin Star Chef Yoshinori Ishii" on Saturday, March 22 at 10:00 in Andrews Hall.
Please note: The feature-length documentary "Tokito: The 540-Day Journey of a Culinary Maverick," featuring Yoshinori's efforts to open Auberge Tokito, screens on Friday, March 21 at 5:00 PM.
