Based on a short story by Nobel Prize–winner Olga Tokarczuk, Winter of the Crow is a tense, atmospheric thriller set in Warsaw on the brink of 1981’s martial law.

Lesley Manville is electrifying as a British psychology professor who witnesses a brutal murder by secret police and suddenly finds herself marked, hunted, and alone in a city descending into fear. As tanks roll through frozen streets and paranoia tightens its grip, she must navigate a labyrinth of surveillance and betrayal.

Director Kasia Adamik crafts a chilling neo-noir, anchored by Manville’s fierce, intelligent, and utterly commanding performance.
