 Diminished Capacity
Starring: Matthew Broderick, Alan Alda, Dylan Baker, and Virginia Madsen

Terry Kinney's delightful film presents an odd couple definitely not functioning on all cylinders. Broderick plays a Chicago newspaper editor who's suffered a concussion that's left him unfocused. He travels home to rural Missouri to visit his aging and increasingly senile uncle (Alda in a fabulous performance!). During the visit the uncle reveals a rare baseball card, prompting the two addled men to head back to Chicago -- along with the nephew's high school sweetheart (Madsen) -- in the hopes of selling the card at a sports memorabilia convention.
