Matthew Modine plays Eric, an American archaeologist who uses modern technology to determine the best place to dig for ancient artifacts. He comes to a small Greek island to further his dead father's quest for the elusive and priceless Cup of St. John. Not long after arriving, Eric falls for the charms of single mother Katerina (Agni Scott) who owns the local taverna. In this funny, sweet, and uplifting film which above all celebrates life and community, Eric must make the universally familiar choices between the objectives of his personal and professional lives. Featuring Richard Griffiths, as Eric's main man with a wry sense of humor, and three women doing a running gag as the ominous “Greek” chorus, this is a movie-going experience not to be missed.
